Produce
When the recording arrives at the server, Profiles are setup by the Camtasia Relay administrator, each profile consists of record, produce, and publish settings so the Camtasia Relay server knows what to do with each recording. settings are applied, producing the recording into one or many formats. Formats include web and iPod video (MP4), audio-only (MP3), Windows Media (WMV), RealMedia, and more.
Preset profiles know exactly how to produce and publish your recording.
Publish
Each format is published to the destination(s) of your choice, where people can play or download the content. The destination could be iTunes U, Screencast.com, Blackboard, your website…and others. If you want to host the content at your own institution, you will need access to a media server. Please note: Blackboard can be used for automated notifications but the video or audio files must be stored on a media server.
